The homepage for the Luton Concert Orchestra which performs two concerts a year of popular overtures, suites, marches, waltzes and ballet music.
The Luton Music Club promotes an annual series of concerts. Unique amongst music clubs, the series extends to 23 concerts between October and March, and all of the concerts take place in the intimate, well-appointed and central venue of the Library Theatre. The concerts, which are largely of chamber and instrumental music (but also include song, opera and lighter classics), are given by top-class professional artists from the UK and abroad.
The Bedfordshire Symphony Orchestra and Bedford Sinfonia site presents information and programmes for 2009 -2010, and includes a brief history about the formation of these Bedford based orchestras.
The Friends of Bedfordshire Youth Music, is an organisation of parents and friends who are interested in, and support the youth music orchestras and bands in Bedfordshire. Many of the Luton Symphony Orchestra musicians are now or have been members of these youth music groups.
The Luton Choral Society has been closely associated with the Luton Symphony Orchestra for many years, and both organisations have enjoyed many successful and fruitful performances together. Today, the Society has over 50 members, mostly drawn from Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire performing works from both the traditional repertoire as well as music by contemporary composers.
